to be honest, it was really boring x12934, stand after stand of awkward clothing, medicinal herbs, other odd assorted edible things, giveaways galore; basically tote bags and t shirts from random companies that weren’t very interesting; this guy tried to offer burial services gah it must suck trying to sell that. but people there really liked freebies lolol it was interesting seeing the contrast between the “old” and “new” generations of asian americans, like you could tell right away who belonged to which category.
i liked it when i got the free seaweed and vegetarian jerkey and the barbequed lamb skewers mmmm ahah but aside from that i felt that the performances were the best part of the day. there were these 4 little kid dancers who did a seemingly neverending amount of pirouettes, along with other hip hop teams from various schools, but my favorite part was when jason chu performed, his song “grace” was so inspiration gaah. and when he was rapping about being chinese (HE’S A CHINESE RAPPER WOAH first one i’ve heard of and liked) and the passion in his voice with his stage presence, it’s awesome. check him out on youtube!
